"We travelled as a family of 4, kids were 7 and 10 years old. We had a wonderful time. The place was clean and staff was kind and helpful. They ensure we had everything we need. The beach was little wavy, but the sand was white and seaweed was cleared. The pool was clean and entertainment was excellent for all ages. There was food for everyone's preferences. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you! "

"The resort was huge, clean, beautiful, and well maintained!!! The pool was clean and huge!!! The food was good!! The service could have been a bit faster. As a married American woman, I noticed that the Dominican Women only addressed my husband and would not really ask me if i wanted a coffee or a drink. I understand it is a cultural difference, but IT IS noticeable. That did not happen at every encounter.
The beach was BEAUTIFUL!!! The big waves we were fun to float in.

"Favorite resort in Punta Cana. Short drive there, great food, well maintained. Been to 6 other resorts and Joia is the best for us. Average age is probably 50, but we like that. No stupid stuff by the pool ruining the vibe, people have respect for other travelers. Nice change from other less laidback resorts. Not for the 21-35 crowd. "

We did have a small flood due to a slow floor drain in the shower. Our "butler" had it fix and cleaned up in the time it took us to eat dinner. Their fast response and clean-up made what could've seemed like a vacation disaster into a tiny inconvenience. "

"Hotel is smashing. Very beautiful architecture. Great butler service to attend every needs in great details.
Terrace of ocean view in Castle is delightful. Food in Steakhouse is highly recommended. Andalusian style bar is beautiful w sometimes live music.
