"Pool area"

"This hotel is currently undergoing renovations. When we checked in, the room appeared clean, but after walking barefoot for about 20 minutes while unpacking, my feet were black with dirt and dust. I immediately notified the front desk, and after we took a short walk with our dog, the room had been cleaned. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, but one day our room was not serviced. We were out for about five hours and returned around 3:00 p.m. to find it untouched. Since we planned to stay...

"Perfect location right across the street from the Delmar race tracks. The county fair was going on which made it so easy to get to secluded beach just down the street. Will definitely stay here again."

"Newly remodeled rooms (May 2026) are absolutely beautiful and well done — no complaints there. And, the location is possibly 10/10 — close to beach and to the Design District. During my stay, however, the common areas were under construction and made the stay uncomfortable and disorienting, as there was no warning in advance when i reserved the room. So… great place but a wait and see when all is done."

"Stayed here the night of 6/16/26. Heard a knock at our door at almost 1 AM followed by an employee who said they were the manager opening the door. My wife and kids were at this hotel without me so she called me terrified about the situation. Yes the manager was a man making the situation even worst. Just to have a follow up room phone ringing 10 minutes later. Why would an employee even a manager need to be entering ANYONES room at 1 in the morning. This is ridiculous, unprofessional, and needs...

"room was good, clean and comfortable. staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was decent. parking was tight and some people took 2 spaces because they were so narrow. i would stay there again, very affordable."

"Utterly disgusted by the front desk here. They will Straight up lie to your faces. The air conditioning shuts off in the middle of the night because it's on a sensor, leaving you randomly hot and sweaty, it's also INCREDIBLY loud. Do not recommend."

"Clean room"

"The reems are clean, comfortable beds, the pool and spa are heated, amazing. Decent breakfast buffet with a little charge. We had a housekeeper come in every day for 4 days we were there to make beds, take out trash and bring us clean towels!!"

"I found what looked like a crumb of food on the toilet seat and paper in the toilet. Other than that, the to room was clean. Decent hot breakfast. Plenty of parking. Amazing nice staff! We had a view of the hill..no frill, but it was no biggie."

"The rooms had a funky smell, not enough towels m. The two beds were not even queen size they were all full-size not what I expected old building staff not efficient. Will not stay there again. I saw a lot of people leaving the property because of the bad conditions of the rooms they are nothing compared to what the picture show be aware don’t book there. Save yourself money. I couldn’t stay the 2 nights because how uncomfortable I was."

"Front desk person would not show me on a map of property where my room was or where the elevator was so I can take my luggage. Another guest had to show me because she would not help me"
