"Be forewarned, it's a random pick if you get a good room or not. Not all rooms are the same as advertised. Stayed longer than a week, changed room once. Paid for an ocean view (and a sanctuary in paradise). First room was near the loading dock and ear jarring noise at 10pm (trash compactor) and from 6am-8am (trucks going forward and backing up). 75% view of the ship harbor, which was pretty but wasn't the ocean. "Clean room, attentive staff. The only thing i frowned upon was the breakfast food because everything, from the eggs to the bacon to the waffles tasted like fish. Perhaps the cooking oil used was previously used in cooking fish. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place to stay. It’s also economically friendly. "

Unfortunately, this luxury hotel gave away our room even after I had called to confirm that we would be one day late due to airplane issues and we understood that we may have to pay for that night. When we arrived on St. John and went to the desk, we were told that we had been a no-show and they gave away our room. Luckily there was one studio left, but we had paid for a two bedroom. "Staff was friendly and responsive. Our room was beautiful and well equipped and cleaned daily. The beach was lovely and the cove provided protection against the winds other beaches were facing. The waters were clear, and we saw a lot of sea life just outside our door with goggles! Parking was easy and close to our door."

"Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. "
