"The room was clean and the staff friendly. I probably would not come here again mainly because they do not serve breakfast. Their website states that breakfast is made to order and I recall seeing it on the expedia page but then was notified a day before about where to go for food instead. I asked on arrival and they have not served breakfast in 3 years. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. The shower had someone else's soap in it and the body wash was never renewed after use. "Lovely old hotel, faded elegance. Needs a refresh, weeds growing out of gutters. The lift soon went out of action, not a problem for us but difficult for elderly and infirm residents. Near the ballroom the glass roof had lots of serious cracks and smelt of damp. Loads of space in the car park. These are observations not criticisms. We did enjoy our stay."
