"Unfortunate situation with noise/blaring music and our room. The room and the location was very nice, otherwise. But the hotel was fully booked and they were not able to relocate us because of a party going on right next to our room. If there is an event like that, they should not rent the room next door except to someone at the event. Music was so loud our room was vibrating with each beat."

"The room was clean and spacious with very easy check in and a mile from the beach. Wish I were able to spend more time there!"

"The room was clean but the level 2 rooms didnt have elevator which was difficult to carry big suitcases up the staircases."

"Property is well maintained and has big rooms. they don’t have air conditioners but has fan though it wasn’t required to use as weather was really good. Breakfast has limited option and limited space. But overall stay was good."

"My daughter goes to CSUMB and this is the 2nd time staying here.. we’ve been in Monterey a lot and this is the only hotel (out of a lot) that I LOVE. This will be our hotel when i visit my daughter, and move her in every year."

"Beautiful grounds-loved all of the flowers around the hotel. Location was perfect as all of the restaurants and shops were walkable from the hotel."

"It was ok, nothing fabulous! The Airport was our neighbor. To close heard all the flights. Difficult to sleep! The grounds need work. The cleanliness ok could be better. Would not stay here in the future."

"Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and updated. Location was central to all."

"Great overnight spot! The fridge and microwave were very helpful to have. A coffee maker in the room would have been really nice. There was nowhere near early in the morning to get coffee. The room was updated and cute. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Recommended!"

"We could not use the couch that was in the room without paying extra for it. We were placed on the first floor and the people above us were so loud at night and you could hear every walk back and forth across the room. It made it so hard to sleep. The parking was horrible and every spot was too small to fit in. The vinyl floor in the room was all scratched up and the floor needed to be vacuumed. A rug or a clean front door mat would have helped."

"First night we had some guys doing donuts on the side road and burning rubber, and both nights kids running down the hallway and a couple arguing on the balcony."

"Beautiful Property and amazing landscaping. Our room had a large hedge of flowering star jasmine right in front of our room patio area. I'm very allergic specifically to star jasmine so we couldn't enjoy opening the back patio door or sit out for very long. . Might be good idea to ask if there are any specific plants that may trigger allergies? Aside from that, all was fine. We appreciated all the complementary goodies in our room."

"Clean rooms, comfortable bedding and perfect downtown Monterey location with easy walking to eateries and free trolley bus to Aquarium. Parking at hotel is not the best with tight spots and less availability in comparison to rooms rented. Lastly, heated pool was not very heated in comparison to other hotel establishments."

"Kind owners/keepers, overall clean property, just minor issues with left over tape on the wall from what I imagine decorations that were there previously, some dirt smudges on the paint around window and coffee maker did not work. Still fine for an overnight stay, quiet overall and safe location. Comfortable beds, but too high for little ones as there is hard floor and the beds are higher than normal. Good location."
