Beautiful spacious room. One of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. We'll definitely be using Springhill Suites more often.

The property was in a convenient location to access downtown Grand Rapids & to get on or off the interstate. I only complaint we had was how cold the temperature was in the indoor pool. Other than that the staff was friendly & helpful, plus there was a good selection for breakfast.

We were in GR for a wedding, and many of the family and friends were staying in this hotel. The rooms and main areas were clean and well cared for and the staff friendly. The elevator was broken, which was an issue for some elderly guests and those who had to navigate the stairs in long dresses and heels. I'm sure they will get that fixed quickly. The only other issue was the coffee was almost always out, even at breakfast when the breakfast area had been opened less that 15 minutes. We were told by the person filling the breakfast that they were out of coffee for the day, so we walked to the Starbucks about 1/2 mile away to get some. Other than that the stay was good and it was located in an area that was easily accessible.

I booked here well in advance like over 2 months for a 10 day stay. I called again, ahead of time requesting a first floor room because I had 3 young kids with me and know how noisy my grandkids can be. Arrive on check-in day past the time and our room is flagged. They go look and room was not cleaned and ready they skipped it. Move us to the 2nd floor for 1 night and the elevator was out. The pool, was freezing the kids lips turned blue within 15 mins. Needless to say, I did not stay here. I had to book a new location.

We booked room in advance. When we arrived the desk clerk told me that our room is on the third floor and that the elevator was not working. We are seniors in our 70’s. When I booked online the only room I could find that had two beds and a couch was an assessable room. We didn’t need assessable, we just needed two beds and a couch. BUT, how could she tell me that our assessable room was on the third floor when the elevator wasn’t working. Did she expect three women in their 70’s to lug our luggage up the stairs to the 3rd floor?!! THAT is NOT ecceptable. She first told me there weren’t any rooms on the main floor. When I complained then she found us a room on the main floor. Also the heated pool was not heated, so we didn’t get to use it. The breakfast buffet was not hot and there was no microwave to heat food up.
