"What a beautiful oasis in the middle of Kyoto! Every single attention to detail was made. Rooms were gorgeous, food was amazing, staff was very helpful and friendly. Easily one of the finest hotels I have stayed in, period. Only room for improvement was that I wished they had more lunch options, it was merely the dinner menu (and dinner prices) for lunch."

"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. The bed in the second bedroom is on the floor, which isn't a bad thing considering this is an authentic experience,...
