"Absolutely loved our short stay in this beautiful hotel. Quirky and boutique, it is perfectly located for anybody wanting to visit the South Kensington area which of course includes the wonderful museums and the Royal Albert Hall which is only 10 minutes walk away. A warm welcome, immaculately clean spacious and really comfortable room, super bathroom with a great shower and lovely large soft fluffy towels, tea and coffee making facilities in the room which were very welcome, air conditioning...

"I only mentioned on check out to be fair to staff but there a horrible smell of old cigarette that would get pushed out the vent normally in the afternoon evening. This needs to be rectified. In addition the housekeeping and room cleaning was very irregular. On day 1 it was cleaned about 2pm. The next day no o e came till around 6pm when it was too inconvenient to leave our room"

"This is a gorgeous old hotel with so much history! We absolutely loved it- but the staff- particularly George- was fantastic! The high tea and breakfast were worth the price. We will definitely be back but next time we’ll upgrade to a bigger room. Loved our experience- highly recommend!"

"The best hotel ever ! The Royal Garden has exceeded our expectations for a hotel and now any other hotel will struggle to meet them. From the service, comfort and amazing location. I have no complaints!"

"The room was terrible and overlooked an inner brick courtyard. We ordered a bowl and spoon be sent up from the front desk so our son could eat some cereal and no one ever showed up. We’ve stayed there before and loved the experience and location, but I think I’ll try a new hotel next time. Bummer because it’s close to the tube station."

"If you want a good location and do not care about sunlight, lugging your belongings up flights of narrow stairwells, an unexplained putrid smell, cheap springy mattresses, lack of bathroom shelves, dark surroundings, views of bricks walls (not the advertised park), a non-responsive host (we blew a kitchen fuse by operating the toaster at the same time the lights were on!), questionable art & dark moody wall colours then this place might just be for you!! "The hotel is ideally located— in the heart of Kensington, a short walk to Museum row and Kensington Palace, and just steps away from the underground ( with service via the Picadilly line direct to Heathrow). A lovely, well appointed property. Excellent hot and cold breakfast, with a lot of choice."
