"Great stay"

"The rooms were small but adequate. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the choice at breakfast was good. There was a small amount of parking space at the front of the hotel. It stands at walking distance from the railway station but noise is NOT intrusive. There were a lot of stairs to the top floor of the hotel. There was a poor flow of water in the shower and the water took a long time to get hot, perhaps because of being on the top floor. In general terms, it offered good value for...

"Two live wasps were in the room. Owner offered a downgraded room that had toilet outside the room. We had paid for en suite so we refused his offer and he agreed to refund us the money we had paid. I’ve had to message the owner few times to take care of the refund but I haven’t had any update. I now have to deal with the hassle of reporting the matter to the platform to get my money back. This is a headache I could have done without so I could enjoy my holiday. "

"Great location to get into the centre of Edinburgh via a tram or bus, or to get to the cafes and pubs in The Shore area. The staff were friendly and informative. The parking was good and seemed to be ample places. The provision of complimentary drinks and snacks was a bonus. Will stay here again when we next visit Edinburgh."

"Shared canteen area is messy and not the cleanest. Shared bathroom upstairs has a shower which doesn't work. Television didn't work in my room (possibly the remote) - but it was very late and I couldn't be bothered chasing this up. I was awoken by very loud noises of arguing and fighting around 2.45am. I thought something serious was happening - but then realised the person in the next room had their television om at an unbearably loud volume. I obviously didn't want to knock their door and ask...

"Lovely clean suite at the top of the house. Was a bit wary after reading some reviews but was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! Fab comfy bed, small kitchen with hob, microwave, tea/ coffee making facilities & supplies. Rainfall shower with plenty of hot water, great towels, toiletries provided. TV with lots of channels, only thing missing was a fridge. Would be great to have in Summer. Lots of stairs, no lift but I knew this prior to booking. Self check in without issue. Don't book if...

"Very clean space. Very economical for Edinburgh. A bit tight for 3 adults but we knew that before, knowing we would be there only for sleeping. Great location. Bus stop is right across the road. Less than 20 minutes to the heart of the city. "
