"Staying at Il Villino was an excellent experience. Barbara and her family/staff operate a lovely bed and breakfast that is like an oasis in the middle of a very busy city. Our room was maintained impeccably . We had a view of the Duomo from our window. The breakfasts were amazing - including bacon, eggs, croissants, cheese, pastries, fruits, cakes and Canadian like coffee. The main floor offers an authentic and beautiful Italian courtyard where you can have breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine...

"Overall this is a great apartment - but the issue we encountered is related to the inaccuracy of the listing in regards to the beds. The listing states there are two double beds. It does not specify that the second bed is actually a pull out sofa bed. It's in a sitting room with sliding doors that does allow for privacy, but no bedside tables and the mattress is incredibly thin. It was not prepared when we arrived - I suppose because there were only two of us. We would not have booked if we knew...

"This is a basic bargain hotel 10 minute walk from all the main tourist sites of Florence. Also walking distance to the train station. Great deal for a family as several rooms have a loft that can sleep another 2-3 people. Good breakfast."
