"It’s a great little hotel in a very quiet part of Kyoto. If you wish to get away from all the crowds and just experience how the locals live, this is a hotel for you. We had a room with a private onsen bath, which was just perfect at the end of all the sightseeing. Special thanks to the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable. "The bar was a peaceful place to relax and enjoy a drink after a full day out. It was situated in a perfect location being next to the subway station. We had the opportunity to experience the local feel of the place and to also enjoy the 20-30 minute walk to Potoncho alley for a completely different vibe. Catching the subway train 4 stops to kyoto station was easy for the day tour meeting-point. We were so comfortable here and wish we'd extended our stay. We will definitely be recommending Noku...

It is not a material luxury experience (there are many others who fit this expectation), so much as an unintentional unmannicured view into the past of old Kyoto. Very dreamy for me at least!. It felt like returning to my granny's house in post war Setayaga. Special. There are exceptional people among the staff whose heart beats echo mine and that era."
