"A lovely grand hotel that is a little past its prime. The room in the Sidings is connect to the main hotel by a long corridor with a weird smell. Thankfully the room was clean and did not smell. The bathtub was chipped with exposed black enamel. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were a little hard. I cannot comment on the food as we did not eat in the hotel or use the gym / pool.
The location is perfect right next to the train station with an exit directly to the station. No train noice so that was a plus. Everything in town was walking distance and if you really don't want to walk there are lots of busses and cabs next door at the station."
