Great stay

Excellent place with very good facilities run by friendly and welcoming hosts. A relaxed, comfortable stay with plenty of privacy but help on hand when needed. Great range of breakfast options, notably the full English. Decent pub 100m away. Would gladly stay again when next in the area.

Beautiful guest house in an amazing location. 5 mins drive to town centre (20 mins walk) and ideally located for hiking We will definitely be back.

The host was VERY helpful. The property immaculate and very clean. Great breakfast Nd even let me leave my car whilst walked to Keswick on the day of check out Will def be staying here again

Lovely B&B/Guest House, large bedroom with superking bed, large en-suite with very powerful shower. Very nice host and superb breakfast with quality ingredients. Good covid procedures. A very nice find indeed. Thanks!

Fantastic break :)

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Powe House, the room was spotless and had an amazing view (photo attached) and the breakfast choice was fantastic, the full English was a big hit!! It was about a half an hour walk into Keswick town centre however the walk was very straight forward and pleasant. The hosts were very friendly and took time to chat which is always nice :) we love Keswick and all it has to offer with some fantastic walks and views, it really is very beautiful! we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Powe house again!

Shower fiasco in room

Lovely place; at walking distance to town centre and lakes, however very disappointed with shower facility, the friendly host said at greeting that shower is very powerful and care should be taken, the guest book reteirate this, but in reality shower is just a good shower and the drain on thr floor is totally pathetic as it is very very small and hence does not allow water to drain in! I was left with two options; shower and flood the room or not shower at all...So not impressed at all.

Excellent location, easy walk into Keswick so no need to take the car. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with matching cups, saucers, plates etc (although mugs would have been more practical).

Well looked after

Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Delicious breakfast really comfortable bed and lovely room and amenities. A 2 minute walk to a good pub with nice food and good beers. Very generous people who even drove us back to our car after a bike ride and no bus to take us. Would return for a dead cert relaxing break.

Comfortable B & B just outside Keswick

Easy to find B & B just off the A66 in Portinscale outside Keswick. Comfortable house with 5 bedrooms. Exceptional breakfast. Owners are very helpful and considerate about all details. There are a number of walks, low and high level, which can be started straight from the B & B. It is a flat, pleasant 15 minute walk into Keswick. There is a nice local pub 100 metres from the B & B, which does pub food.

Lovely

I stayed in the single room at powe house. The gentleman is very friendly with a great customer service manor. The room was more than enough for my needs. Comes with hair dryer tea and coffee amenaties and tv. Single bed and wet room style shower but with shower curtain. Converted box room but very good location for the wedding we were there for. Breakfast was great with a choice of yogurt cereal juice fruit as well as a hot menu choice. I had the eggs benidict for 2 days and it was lovely. The rest of my family were staying in the double rooms which were a brilliant size and came with the coffee tablet machines which they said were great. Would definatly recommend to anyone up that way for a few days or for a wedding stay over. Thank you for a fab welcoming stay

Comfort in The Lakes

A very friendly B&B - all the facilities required and nice and clean and tidy - and a very good breakfast choice. The locality is ideal for exploring the North Lakes area and I will happily use Powe House again when back in the area.
