"I stayed only a few nights and had wonderful experience. Place is relatively easy to find - this relaxing walk through the green park was a big joyful bonus. Very clean room, comfy bed, good shower. Attention to detail in any aspect. So, it was a real pleasure to return to my room after spending a day in a busy town. Thank you Fiona and Ricardo for making my stay so special. I won't hesitate to rebook again."

"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "When checking out our room was different, we are from Arizona and never used anything like this, we had to use the key card to turn on electricity to the room. The bed was comfortable and clean, air conditioner worked great and the shower was excellent. The breakfasts are pretty much set with some exceptions if you don't like something, the chef tries to accommodate when it's possible which is a great thing to be able to offer. The owner June does a great job with keeping Ascot House friendly and accessible to all people. We had a lovely time staying here and visiting York."
