"This is my first poor review for a hotel experience unfortunately. Not only was there a hidden fee hold of 200 additonal dollars, which Expedia and the Hotel's home website both stated it was a 50 dollar hold, but from the start my king suite had many issues, such as a very smelly garbage disposal, broken alarm clock, children's handprints smeared all over the bedroom window, and pen marks on the kitchen countertops. "Parking lot very clean with ample parking spaces. Property is very old and run down. Hallway carpeting smells musty and of old cigarettes. Good size bathroom, very clean. Appropriate toiletries provided. Bathroom towels very thin and low quality. Beds and pillows very lumpy. Breakfast layout is pathetic. That included firewood and starter kit for a nominal fee, plus rowboat with safety vests and oars included in the cabin price. I thought I chose a beautiful blue room but instead the room we got was plain and nothing like the pictures. The staff were great and the restaurant was great but our room was not."
