I was impressed with the cleanliness and everything was at our fingertips--pans, utensils, glasses, stove, refrigerator--we actually cooked breakfast daily. The host was a joy to communicate with--very attentive and so sweet. And if we had any needs during the day, an employee was onsite to help. The location was great, just a short walk into town. "When we arrived the host said he did not have our reservation. The gate was locked. The number on the listing was not an accurate number. It took messaging Expedia to get a new number and the owner did not answer that number. He did respond to Expedia and finally reached out on WhatsApp. They came and cleaned while we were waiting to enter. The pictures on the listing are from probably 10 years ago - the home needs some repairs and maintenance. Faucets are loose, no hot water in the downstairs...

"Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!"

"This was a great place to stay! It was just like it looked in the pictures. It is in a great central location for Monteverde. I was happy with everything that came with this property. The bed was comfortable, a full kitchen, a nice bathroom and shower, and enough seating for this size of place. I really liked all the windows, but extremely private at the same time."
