"The place is very convenient next to the airport. The shuttle is great. It would be good to have the shuttle stop and the actual gates though. The place is clean and it was easy to check in and check out. For the most part the staff was helpful, though one of the staff was not helpful at all. I called and asked about an item that I needed ( lotion or toothpaste) and she did not want to help. She kept on saying no we don't have and then I asked if they have it at the vending/store I front. I don't want to come out of the room if they didn't have it. She still didn't want to help and hung up on me."
"The hotel is within easy walking distance of the airport. There are signs in the airport pointing to the hotel and you can take one of the trolleys with your luggage both to the hotel and back. As a result, no need to wait for a shuttle - you can just go when you wish.
The rooms are small but are clean and have all the essentials. The TV, lights, blinds etc are controlled by a tablet so if you hate all things technology, this isn't the hotel for you. Since we are both tech savvy, we particularly enjoyed that aspect of the hotel.
Not enough time to enjoy the other services of the hotel due to flight times, but we have stayed in other CitizenM hotels and found them to have everything we needed. If I were travelling as a solo female, I would feel very safe and comfortable at a CitizenM hotel."
"The hotel is great honestly. Maybe not as close to the center but the rooms are spacious, the hotel is well maintained, there were different nglish language channels on TV. There's a very nice park infront of the hotel Rambrandt park. An 8 minute walk to amsterdam lelylaan station which is a small train station you can go to zaandam from that not needing to go to Central station. It is also a 5 minute train ride from there to the airport. There's also a tram station 2 minute walk from the hotel surinamplein station that takes you to leidsplein and Dam. Check in and check out was very smooth as well. But by far the spacious rooms is a nice change from normal room sizes in Amsterdam.
Thank you Westcord hotel will definitely recommend to my friends and family."
