"I should preface this review by saying I had the great good fortune to live in London in 1983. London has a very different, slightly down-at-the-heels look and smell for me that I LOVE. People give five ⭐️ reviews for different reasons. This is mine: the Parkwood has this wonderful feel for me. It is a very clean and exceptionally friendly place. The breakfast is lovely. The staff and owner Monty are friendly and flexible. I am not the kind of traveler who wants a sterile anonymous environment....

"The staff was very nice. We were only staying one night and leaving early in the morning and the front desk agent allowed us to store our very large suitcase instead of hauling it all the way up to our room on 3rd floor."

"I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very clean, friendly staff especially Erica & Sander. They looked after us from the first conversation on the phone till checking in & out. Erica is amazing. She helped to keep our luggage safe after checking out, until we were ready to pick them later to the train station, saving us the hazzle of carrying our boxes back & forth. "You pay for what you get. Great, full breakfast. Definitely a great add on to save money and still having a healthy and proper breakfast to get the day started. All the staff was super helpful. Washrooms are not the biggest, but definitely has everything you need. Great water pressure and hot water. Very close to Paddington station as well. It’s not a five star hotel, so do not go in with certain expectations as others do. However, I think, it was definitely worth it. "
