Stayed at the Dorset Square in August for my wife’s birthday and again in September for an event at Wembley, (couple of minutes from Marylebone station which is 9 minutes to Wembley Stadium). Staff are fantastic, very warm and welcoming. Rooms are beautifully decorated and well maintained, as are all the other Firmdales we have stayed at. Lots of choice at breakfast and lunch - would recommend the cheeseburger.

wonderful hotel.

Had an amazing overnight stay at the Dorset Square Hotel. Lovely room, with a view over the square. Although on a busy junction couldn't hear any traffic noise what so ever. Welcoming staff on reception and throughout the hotel. Breakfast in the potting shed was excellent, again staff very friendly and professional. Will definitely be back.

Aaron was a delight and offered great recommendations! Decor is unbeatably charming, and staff is friendly. Rooms were pristine, comfortable with thoughtful touches (pillow mists, personalized welcome notes etc…). True to boutique hotels in big cities, the room was tight, would just be conscientious of checking approx size when you book room type if that is important to you. Marylebone Village is approx an 8 minute walk, with subways within 2-5 mins. Overall lovely stay and look forward to visiting again.

Perfect ending

While I only stayed one evening, the room and all the amenities made my last night in London perfect. All the small touches of a bottle of water in the evening, turn down of my bed, thoughtful toiletries and a comfortable bed! I ordered room service, it was right on time, delicious and allowed me to start my day leisurely.

Double glazing plus secondary glazing made triple glazing and totally soundproof. Floorboards did not squeak. Efficient heating. The view over the skyline, square and road was compelling. Very close transport links with Marylebone station and Baker St underground, buses on Marylebone Road and Gloucester Place. Handy local shops and interesting area to explore.

What an absolute treasure this property is! This was my first stay at a boutique hotel and was more than impressed by what it delivered. Very comfortable room (great bed!) with nice touches in the bathroom (heated towel rack and flooring). I also appreciated the nightly turn-down service and bottle of water placed on the nightstand. The Potter's Shed restaurant was another delightful experience! Delicious food, beautifully presented and served by very attentive and personable staff that made you feel like family. I was able to widely sample the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the course of my 6-night stay and was never disappointed. The setting of the property across from a park and it's close proximity to two tube/rail stations (Baker Street and Marylebone) just added to it's strong appeal. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful from the moment I set foot in the foyer. A complete winner!

Stay was great, room was great. However, the whole experience was soured when asked to provide a service fee at check out. It was “optional” but was nearly $50 US for 2 nights and we were not warned, so had already tipped for various services. When paying this price for a room, such fees should be included.

First time staying and absolutely loved it! This hotel will now be my home away from home when I visit London again. I loved the vibe and how quiet it was. Also smelled really good! Staff were all absolutely lovely, and the location was perfect, close to the Marylebone and Baker Street stations, lots of taxis and easy for Ubers to get to. Will definitely be back!

Tried to deduct a ‘service charge’ from my deposit as I was checking out. Only when I queried it (twice) was I informed that the charge was, in fact, discretionary. Not sure if this is normal in London now but I felt it was disappointing.

Charming Hotel and Lovely Stay

Lovely hotel with amazing staff who are friendly and helpful. The service was great, the hotel restaurant was delicious. It was hot in London and having an air-conditioned, comfortable oasis was key. Very charming decor.

Lovely Hotel

Wonderful staff and a very comfortable and beautifully decorated clean room. The only negative thing I can think of is that our rooms (and we did not opt for the basic options) were extremely small and compact. I have never stayed in a hotel room so small.
