The hotel has a very good location, but that's the only good thing about it. Our experience at Elmwood Hotel was very disappointing.
We requested a triple accommodation: one queen and one twin; instead, we received one double bed, and one twin in a room so small that we felt like staying in a closet. We slept terrible every night. My daughter even felt every spring on her mattress
Our room was downstairs facing to a building next door, and for some reason the window across from our room had the lights on all night , making it impossible to rest.
The hotel is old and it really needs a remodel. The furniture in the rooms are falling apart, and the safes in the rooms "don't work" (as we were informed by the guy in the reception).
Overall, I wouldn't complaint if it was half the price, but for the price we paid, it was absolutely unacceptable.
Only stay here if you need to stay one night for cheap as it's only 5 minutes walk away from King's Cross Station.
