Beautiful building and great location, but very disappointing stay overall.
I stayed one night and unfortunately experienced dirty bed linen with visible marks, which is unacceptable at this price point. My room was also opposite a staff/fire door that opened and closed loudly and repeatedly throughout the night, making sleep extremely difficult.
The building itself is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the bar is lovely, though service was slow with only one staff member on duty.
I raised these issues at checkout and later in writing (with photos of the dirty bed linen). While apologies were offered, the hotel declined to provide any meaningful compensation, which was disappointing and did not reflect the seriousness of the issues. They offered free breakfast and room upgrade (subject to availability), but I am not interested in returning to the hotel.
Overall, not the standard I would expect from a top-end hotel and the price paid. I will avoid in the future.
