"This hotel is outside the city of Lucerne but only 20 minutes away. It is nice and peaceful, which was our preference. The Mt. Pilatus train station in Alpnachstadt is just a few minutes away. We got to enjoy both sunset and sunrise from our balcony. The staff were friendly and professional and the room was clean and uniquely charming but with modern conveniences. "I was worried the hotel would be too far away from the town center. However, the bus right outside the hotel was quite convenient coming every 15 minutes. A visitor card was offered that covers local transportation. The room was spacious and clean. The only drawback was we arrived during the heat of summer, and only a fan is available. Breakfast was very nice and variety of choices. Staff were courteous and helpful. Very nice outdoor poor with a great view, but it closes at 7:30pm."
