"Whilst we only live 15 minutes away we have stayed here on several occasions as it is the perfect place for a night away. Everything makes you feel so relaxed and the team are very welcoming. It has a great atmosphere with good food and the breakfast is wonderful. The country setting is lovely too but within easy driving distance of the motorways, railway and ports. "We stayed for six nights, there was some fluff on the floor when we checked in, it was still there when we checked out! One evening, we had a decent lunch so only wanted a snack in the evening. We both had ham sandwiches which while nice ham, no attempt had been made to present them, for example, a salad garnish would have gone a long way. "Good parking facilities. Hotel is right in town which is a real bonus. Staff were helpful and friendly. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. We went instead to a very charming cafe just for a change. Unfortunately the down side of the hotel are the rooms. We had a twin room, nice view and large. However the decor was very tired and frankly grubby. The bathroom was ok but if you tried turning round in the bath whilst having a shower you could, and I did, crack your...

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."
