"Good parking facilities. Hotel is right in town which is a real bonus. Staff were helpful and friendly. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. We went instead to a very charming cafe just for a change. Unfortunately the down side of the hotel are the rooms. We had a twin room, nice view and large. However the decor was very tired and frankly grubby. The bathroom was ok but if you tried turning round in the bath whilst having a shower you could, and I did, crack your...

"We booked twin room but upgraded to a family room 426 honestly the room was tiny my husband stayed on the sofa bed which had a big hump in it 😡 room looked nothing like the pictures very dissatisfied we had a long drive home so felt sorry for my partner having to sleep in a sofa bed which needs to be binned "

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."

"We stayed here as a stopover before going to Le Shuttle early the next day. Great location for a stopover, check-in was smooth and easy, rooms very clean and nicely decorated…hotel rooms had a refurb in Sep ‘25. Good pub food as well. Early checkout was also easy with a drop key box for those leaving before reception is staffed. All in all for the price point we would definitely work this stop off into our travel plans for future France trips"

"the hotel itself was great, staff were very helpful. They could do with installing double glazing in the building however, as it got quite noisy early in the morning given how close traffic / heavy lorries pass to the hotel. We were in the top floor, but were still woken up by it early doors!"

"This is an ancient, historic hotel. Be mindful of the fact that you are staying here more for the character and historical significance then for the comfort. Stairways are small and steep and parking - went available at all - is challenging. That said, however, the staff is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our one night stay."

"Lovely hotel large comfy rooms ,pillows nice and bouncy tea ,coffee and biscuits in the room nice products in the bathroom , very clean hotel only cold buffet breakfast due to a gass cooker problem but directed to the george for a cooked breakfast which was perfect would definitly book again."
