"Everything about the Hawthorne is the epitome of old world class. There is simply not a single thing or person we could find fault with. The room was large, comfortable and had a quiet undertone of luxury without any need for extras. The food was, exceptional. The staff were without a doubt the most pleasant, warm, competent and overtly helpful I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I used to be a F&B manager at a casino and found myself in absolute envy of the staff. I wish there were more...

"The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. "
