"All meals were very good, food was replenished before it was needed so it was always fresh. There was always a good variety, and it seemed to have a good variety of vegan options (I am not vegan). "We were pleased to have our room available for early check in (1 pm) as it was a rainy day. Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. Breakfast choices were excellent although the buffet room often became crowded. Breakfast staff were efficient in removing plates, cleaning tables. "Beautifully furnished boutique hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are well maintained and kept clean. The hotel restaurant does some great menu items so worth a visit. Breakfast buffets are fine but probably not to everyone's tastes. Location is next to the cathedral so ideal for a city stay with a difference - Funchal is a super place to visit and we hit the Xmas illumination that is world famous."
