"What a delightful stay in this ancient inn. All the staff we encountered were friendly & helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to look after us. Our bedroom was bijou but very well thought out with switches in the right place and plenty of sockets. A free welcome drink at bar was greatly appreciated. Dinner was tasty and breakfast was great, freshly cooked to order. We would most definitely stay here again, although I imagine it might be quite noisy on a summer’s evening."

"Lots of free parking. Great location for local shops and easy access to town center. Fantastic staff, all very friendly and helpful, even sorted a taxi for us at short notice. Room clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery, hairdryer all in room. "

"Staff very friendly and efficient. Sink was blocked, soap dispenser in shower was empty. No kettle in the room and although there was free drinking water and free hot drinks that was all the way down in reception. I knew I was opting for a stripped down version of a hotel room but have stayed in lots of other hotels that offer more for the same price. "
