"Lovely space, beautiful grounds and close to the river - peaceful. I took the bus to Oxford back and forth for meetings and it was a very nice trip. Hotel was everything I needed, no complaints."

"Hotel grounds and building grand… bed rooms tired need a refurb, carpets crawly… bathroom clean and had been refurbed. Room was not serviced. Staff at reception low energy. Staff at breakfast much better, buffet breakfast average …. Bacon left to cool in sauce pan with fat accumulating … consider ala carte it could have been so much better …. Overall 2 nights served its purpose but was expecting much more so disappointed "

"LOVED IT! If you want to experience English inns, stay here. Beautiful, peaceful, albeit very European with the room configuration and bathroom setups, but a very fair trade off for the environment. That is actually one of the reasons I chose it, reliving childhood experiences of quaint English inns. Beautiful, peaceful and affordable. Right near Bibury Trout Farm & the Cotswolds or, I suggest the small village of Carterton for a nice slice of pizza."

"So set your mind on a charming characterful much loved home rather than a hotel type setting and you will be happy . The owners are lovely and Suzie is charming and very helpful . It’s a little quirky as it’s a home so toilet and shower in hallway shared and the room didn’t have a key to lock when away and also significantly it’s not a breakfast as in bed and breakfast . However it’s right in town and lots of places to eat and the town is charming . Little slice of old English charm !"

"Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent, the evening meal also. The staff at the hotel made the trip, they were so nice, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Beautiful setting was nice to have a drink by the river in the evening after a day of exploring."
