"Everything was great the food, the onsen"

"The room was very nice, and it was fun that they provided a yukata in the room and made it easy to obtain more in the lobby. The grand bath was enormous, and I had an excellent time soaking in the different kinds of onsen water. The outdoors section of the bath was absolutely wonderful in the winter. It was also great to have the area behind the lobby before the grand bath with the restaurant, shopping center, capsule toy machines, and arcade; I really appreciated having those inside the hotel, especially during the frigid winter when I would have had to get out of the yukata and into winter clothes to go into town."

"This is a gem of a hotel. Located on the edge of the lake with an amazing view. The hotel has a genuine Japanese vibe. The rooms have baths with hot spring water. The hotel staff have variable english skills but they are very helpful. The nearby village has lots of great restaurants. 30 minute drive to Rusutsu."

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room had a beautiful lake view, and we were lucky to experience the fireworks show right from the hotel, which made the evening extra special. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing — perfect for enjoying the beauty of Lake Toya. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!"

"Great breakfast options. Japanese, western or buffet. I chose western. Premium fresh fruits, pastries, famous Hokkaido milk, different juices and many more. The outdoor onsen is beautiful. Our room with lake view, we could see the lakeside fireworks at night and beautiful sunrise in the morning. The best of all, they let us check in early since our room is ready. And the check out time is not till 12 pm. White gloves staff services through out the hotel. The room is extremely clean. We would definitely will come back. "

"If you are a non-smoker, do yourself a favour and skip this place. The hotel uses central air conditioning and the rooms on the non-smoking floor (level 7) smell musky with a stale cigarette stench. We had 3 rooms in my group and all the rooms were the same even when we changed rooms. In addition, most of the service staff were non-Japanese, they could not communicate well and did not appear to be well trained and quite rude. When I tried to gently share some feedback with the reception staff, she simply grunted and ignored me. Of the dozens of Hotels I’ve stayed in across Japan, this has to be the worst."
