The location was perfect, the history of the building was fascinating, the rooms were surprisingly large, apartment like and beyond my expectations, and the staff were so kind and helpful. It’s with mixed emotions that I would not hesitate to recommend this place - I fear if too many people stay here there may not be a room for me the next time I’m in Florence. "Dark, minimal lighting, depressing. Arived after 4 p.m. Sent code to get in front door and apartment. Card on table for room 4 didn't work. Another guest tried it to. Called then found keys in office as instructed to open room 4 door. Lights wouldnt work as no card. Told on phone to take hidden key to a cupboard in office and use the master card in my room for my lights which worked. THIS NEANT I COULD HAVE ACCESSED EVERYONE'S ROOM. "We stayed 3 nights and our entire stay was wonderful. We ate breakfast every morning and it was consistently well stocked and delicious, with many options. We used the spa amenities as well and we had the entire area to ourselves! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly.
