"Such a lovely boutique hotel with beautiful facilities. Amazing hospitality - the staff made us feel very welcome. Our first Ryokan experience couldn't have been better. There is a Family Mart nearby and the Ashi Lake is only a 15 minutes bus ride away. We hope to be back soon!"

"Lovely spacious hotel with a traditional Japanese onsen. Staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, hotel does not accommodate vegetarians very well. Though there is vegetarian options for breakfast, there is nothing available at other times. Additionally they have eco housekeeping policy where they just leave fresh towels and toiletries outside your room. Any trash has to be left outside the room for it to be cleared. "

The hotel itself is beautiful from the infinity pond with the bamboo forest behind it to the walkways to your room and beyond, and the food… the food is to die for. "We had an amazing stay at this onsen hotel. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were delicious and made the experience feel very authentic and immersive. The rooms were beautiful, and having a private onsen in the room was a huge plus. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. "Gorgeous room, but not a tattoo friendly onsen. Luckily the tub was big and deep. Not a lot of restaurants or shops around but its a good location away from the crowds and easy access to the ropeways. "

"Clean and spacious room. The beds on the floor were not very comfortable, especially the pillows. Staff was very helpful in making arrangements when possible although they did not seem to know much about the Five Lakes area. Overall if you are interested in Hakone/Gora this is a great property. "

"Room is good, but the shower room is on the ground floor same place with the hot spring, the bus stop is nearby to the train station, however there is no supermarket or restaurant nearby, you have to take the bus to get there, hotel is quite far from the train station that the bus fare is not cheap "

"The property is pretty remote. Make sure you time your Shinkansen with the hotel shuttles of your can find yourself waiting a long time. We took a taxi to the hotel which was 7200Y. Loved the public onsen and the private onsen. Breakfast and Dinner were not great for the price you are paying so we opted to eat off property instead"
