"Such a lovely boutique hotel with beautiful facilities. Amazing hospitality - the staff made us feel very welcome. Our first Ryokan experience couldn't have been better. There is a Family Mart nearby and the Ashi Lake is only a 15 minutes bus ride away. We hope to be back soon!"

"Gorgeous room, but not a tattoo friendly onsen. Luckily the tub was big and deep. Not a lot of restaurants or shops around but its a good location away from the crowds and easy access to the ropeways. "

"Clean and spacious room. The beds on the floor were not very comfortable, especially the pillows. Staff was very helpful in making arrangements when possible although they did not seem to know much about the Five Lakes area. Overall if you are interested in Hakone/Gora this is a great property. "

"Lovely spacious hotel with a traditional Japanese onsen. Staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, hotel does not accommodate vegetarians very well. Though there is vegetarian options for breakfast, there is nothing available at other times. Additionally they have eco housekeeping policy where they just leave fresh towels and toiletries outside your room. Any trash has to be left outside the room for it to be cleared. "

"Although this onsen is a bit pricey, the rooms are the most beautiful we have ever experienced and very well appointed with many unexpected amenities. The private soaking tub outdoors on the large balcony overlooking the creek and mountain views is heaven. My only inconvenience is the exceptional Kaisecki (sp?) dinners. I cannot eat gluten or fish and they were unable to accomodate those allergies. Therefore, I sat and watched my companions enjoy this special (and beautifully rendered)...

"First of all, this is small ryokan only 7 rooms. People called it dated accommodation but it's just the way we like it. We don't want brand new ryokan, we want something old but clean and well maintained. How to get there? From Hakone Yumoto Station take Hakone Tozan Train, you can bring your big luggages inside just fine. Drop at Gora Station then take Hakone Tozan Cable Car. Take the cable car and get out on OH 58 Koen-Shimo. Go downstair a little bit, there is a T section right in front....

"Clean and very big room with all the necessary ameneties - the prívate onsen are amazing. My only sugestión is that the location is quite isolated probably next time we would choose another one but the room 10/10"
