"This ryokan was incredible. The staff could not have been more kind. If you are booking with board (food) keep an open mind and enjoy the experience of traditional Japanese food and service. It is truly unforgettable. The in room onsen is wonderful, the amenities are excellent. You are provided clothing for dinner and sleeping. TV has Netflix. In room bathroom of course, refrigerator and Nespresso. They have their own private elevator to the ropeway station! It's 5 minutes from the hotel. They also have massage services for extra fee. Highly recommend "

"Property is a slight walk from Gora station , make sure you are prepared for rain if you are walking to the property. Overall experience with the place and staff was pretty positive, the only slight issue I have was that there was only 1 coin laundry machine , so you need to be strategic about washing of clothes "

"Beautiful resort with great hospitality and amenities. The only critique I have is that, especially for this price, I feel like all guests who request the shuttle service to/from the train station should be offered it. It was very difficult for my husband, baby and I to get to the hotel without it (especially because no taxis/ubers were available) and when we wanted to go to use the shuttle on the way back to the train station, they said it was fully booked. They ended up eventually being able to accommodate us, for which we were incredibly grateful, but there was a lot of extra stress and pleading with the front desk to be able to get that confirmation. This was the only tarnish on an otherwise wonderful, relaxing stay. "

"We booked a luxury room as I wanted my teenage boys to enjoy a hot mineral bath without having to do it the Japanese way in a single sec naked bath! It was great. Clean, spacious, bed and futons, great bathroom area - bathroom could do with a bit of a spruce up decor wise but it added to the Japanese feel. The food was an amazing insight into traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. Staff were lovely and friendly and attentive. The views from our room were amazing and it was very conveniently located a couple of minutes walk from Naka Gora cable car to get to the lake or to see Mt Fuji. Would totally recommend this - can’t speak for the other rooms but we were delighted with our luxury night in the countryside and would highly recommend for a true taste of Japan. "
