"Original grand building in a pleasant location. Poor value for money. Reluctant to check in early, despite agreed that we could to be able to attend a wedding on time. Disappointing view from Room 7 and 8 even though booking was made 7 months earlier. When this was mentioned to the staff at reception, we were told we had not paid extra for the view. The staff members in the dining room were very helpful and friendly."

"This is such a great location, right in the heart of London - steps from the Thames, London Eye and Westminster. The hotel itself is a good price for the location and the rooms were clean. We had a third adult sleeping on a sofa bed which saved money and was ok for the short stay. "We checked in late night, sadly they have no room for the type of room that I have paid. I paid for executive room and the manager said that they are overbooked hence, can only give me a standard room (thats the only room left for that day). Helllowww, I have prepaid all my rooms and yet the hotel gave my room to someone who paid even lesser than me. "There is no elevator at this hotel so carrying my suitcase up to the third floor was not pleasant. Other than that, it was a good experience."

"Not many amenities. Rooms were BERY outdated-felt like we were back in time a couple of decades. Bed was quite comfortable, which was nice. Need washcloths, not just towels, in the bath. Room was clean, just so outdated that it was hard to tell and the carpet surely had seem much better days-a long long time ago. Staff were VERY pleasant and helpful."

"I chose this hotel for its central location within 6 minutes of Holborn's Underground station. Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Oxford St. are easily walkable from the hotel.
