Nice hotel, close to the train station, good restaurants close by, including the keihan department store opposite which has an awesome basement food shops. The is a supermarket, bakery and a Starbucks right next door and over the road
Various kind of breakfast. Very near to Moriguchi station. Many dining around hotel, and shopping places for snacks& cosmetic. Small shop of Uniqlo, which is near the station. Small ABC shop in Keihan department store.
Stayed for 6 nights. Its near to my work place. The breakfast buffet style and quite well stocked. But sometimes can be a bit over crowded with tourist. The Moriguchi station is just across the road, and you can go to Kyoto and Osaka with just a train ride. There's a mall nearby, 5 min walk. A nice super market which u can get cheap food. Overall a nice stay.
It is convenient location which you can walk to train station, department store and supermarket. Their breakfast buffet is excellent with very reasonable cost (if you get hotel discount). One request, they should give a bit discount on breakfast buffet to the hotel guest who only stays one night.
Some single bedroom is a bit small and there is no AC control switch within the room (very hot and dry in my room) but other than these, this hotel is excellent overall and I continue to come back.
The Stay: Hotel Agora Osaka Moriguchi is located conveniently right across the street from Moriguchishi Station, literally less than a minute walk. (Note for travelers, Moriguchishi is not a JR station, it is part of the Keihan Railway. You cannot use JR Rail Pass for the Keihan Railway.) I was giving a room on the upper floors and it has a nice view of the Moriguchishi Station. It let in quite a bit of light, and provides a nice mood. The room itself was well kept and cleaned with decent amount of space. The bathroom is also well cleaned with all the essentials (though the toilet seat was a bit loose). This is still a business hotel in a sense, but I think the environment and the cleanliness makes you more relax and want to stay and chill in your room. I quite enjoy the stay in this room and hotel.
The Miscellaneous: The hotel is at a pretty good location, very close to station, and have various food and shops nearby. Now it is not city central like Tokyo or Osaka, but it still have various point of interests in the surrounding (use Google Maps). Like a normal hotel, there are daily cleaning if you desire, unless you do not want to be disturbed. There are actually few different restaurant and a bakery inside the hotel as well. I did not get a chance to try those, but they seem decent. Even though Hotel Agora Osaka Moriguchi is a bit out of the way from the JR rail path, I would recommend if you are looking for something decent and not super expensive.
We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the breackfast was so delicious, so much options of food, and the Staf was super kind, we miss something in the room and they kindly send us that tonTokyo, we really appreciated it, we truly recommended.
The best thing about this hotel is that it’s adjacent to the train station! Just like the other reviews, it is slightly outdated but still a nice place to stay. They only gave me 1 pillow which was uncomfortable and that was a bit disappointing.
The staff was extremely kind, and we didn’t have any issues with the room at all. It was nice to have a smaller room for one person if need be, and everyone fit just fine. The shower was also wonderful, and the hotel itself was right beside a train station, making it extremely convenient.
The room needs updating. The TV was small and very old. It was very dirty under the bed. The toilet bowl was too small and the seat did not fit it properly. The bathroom needs refurbishing. But I think that the hotel was okay for the price.
Dirty sheets and hot room that would not cool down.

At the reception desk, we asked for an English speaking staff member, as mentioned on the website, but were told that they would be available tomorrow at 11am. It was very difficult to understand but we managed to get to our room.
We were frustrated when we found out that this hotel, unlike all other Japanese hotels we had been to, does not provide instant coffee to the guests but only green tea.
Additionally, unlike all other Japanese hotels, this hotel provides only two towels to guests but not three. Again, during our three and a half week visit in Japan, we stayed at different hotels in Osaka, Kyoto, Takayama, and Kanazawa. Every hotel provided three towels to guests (one large, one medium, and one small).
Finally, on the second day of our stay we were asked to pay an additional 200 yen per day for some accommodation city tax. We told them, when we booked the hotel, part of the money we paid online was a ¥6,050 tax, yet they told us that this was a different tax.
We asked them why this was not the case at other hotels in Osaka and even in different cities such as such as Kyoto, Takayama, and Kanazawa. We even offered to forward all hotel confirmations from all hotels we stayed at to verify that at no hotels we were asked to pay the additional tax fee.
On the last day, they kept asking for the additional 200 yen and we paid it because obviously they didn't want to listen nor respect what we said.
So for us, this hotel scores 1 out of 5. Would not recommend.
