"Staff check-in amounted to a person leading us to our room, while we schlepped all of our luggage down three flights and up 5 flights of stairs. All means of communicating with the.front desk is via whatsapp. Food was ok at best. The music at night is a nightmare. The property next door went until 3 am one night...no amount of white noise or earplugs is sufficient. Music on property went til midnight on Saturday. No fridge in the room...if you want to refrigerate anything you have to do so in a common room under the honor system."

"I’ve been staying at this place Hotel Belo for. Over 6 years every 3 months and love it They just changed names and rules and very disappointed. Check In was great as always but they have to be on exact timing for everything no le way 1. Up stairs used to be the best music and view and bar. Now no food and beer is hot and music is low What’s the point of having it low where you can’t hear anything ? 2. One of the best breakfast on the island yes even for a hotel Now buffet style so all your food is served cold ! Asked for a beer only one ! But there two of us well the other has to go up and ask. That killed it for me WTH ! 3. no more room service after 12pm Then they said we got there towels dirty ! The towel was already stained with red and they charged for for that ! Wait so you give us used old towel they have been there for years and charge me for a new one cus you think I did it ! Very Very wrong I guess this is what happens when the big buy takes over After years of loyalty and spending my 3-4 days there. I’m afraid I’m going to look for a new place. "

"This is our third stay at Villas Coco Resort. We prefer their location on the less busy end of the island. The resort is small and quiet. The small swimming pool is lovely as are the grounds. We walk wherever we go. There are good nearby restaurants and snorkeling at Garrafon de Castilla just a couple blocks away. We have stayed at 3 other hotels on the island but Villas Coco is our choice for value, comfort and location. "

"The room was nice, clean and quiet. We wished there was an outdoor space where we could have our coffee in the mornings. Kin Ha isn’t included at Casa Azul Maya anymore, which was a very family friendly beach club. The included club now is Loretta’s, which is very nice and the food excellent, though not as family oriented."

"No one at desk to check in. Our shower leaked out onto floor, you had to let water run 15 min to get warm, no plug in outlets beside either side of bed, no wash cloths, only 1 hand towel. No dresser or shelves to put clothes, only a small wardrobe with 4 hangers. No coffee pot. No response from management to date.Stayed 1 night out of 7! Left! Contacted Expedia, they contacted hotel and hotel refused to refund!"
