"Great location, friendly staff, and close to many restaurants, shops, and things to do. Easy to get around on foot or by public transit. The hotel offers great views of both midtown and downtown. So many great restaurants nearby, with Little Italy, Chinatown, and Soho within walking distance. The hotel offers good discounts to guests for many nearby restaurants and shops. Very quiet at night. "The Hotel Giraffe is a lovely, boutique hotel near the Flatiron Building. The location is great with many food options nearby. Shake Shack and Eataly are across the street. Also, close by is the Museum of Math and the Museum of sex. We had a hiccup with check-in on the day we arrived, but the staff was helpful and apologetic. "Where to begin. The host did not tell you how to lock the apt door upon leaving. When you called the number given, the person answering (NY based) did not know how. Upon trying a second time, the woman answering thankfully did know. The apt. smelled strongly of Mr. Clean and the smell never dissipated. The apt hallway smelled strongly of some type of ethnic cooking the entire time we were there. On the positive side, it was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The truly negative thing that...

"The location was great! We even walked back from shopping on 5th ave to the hotel. The room was small but it was fine as we were in and out. All linens were Frette, bed was super comfortable, and the shower was hot! We were on the 9th floor so we didn’t hear any street noises. Breakfast was grab and go but there was a hot option and there was space in the cafe if you wanted to sit and eat there. It was a perfect stay for the weekend!"

"The staff and hotel is clean but the room itself is very small. They do not offer any type of coffee maker/tea in the room. Where the hotel is located, the concert venue across the street is so loud. It did not quiet down until 4:00 a.m. every night. Also, when we arrived the air conditioner in our room did not work. They were kind enough to move us."
