"Poor food service"

"Perfect! We had a classic apartment and holidayed with 4 adults and a 1 year old. The space was perfect! So handy that there is a SPAR on site. We did a Lidl shop before, but we really didn't need to. The SPAR was super cheap. We hired a car, which I'd recommend from the airport. The roads are super easy. Having the access to the beach club made all the difference. I think that's what made it good value for money, if that access wasn't there, I don't think it would have been worth the amount...

"we noticed alot of rooms had very little sun on the balcony's, our room (301) had no sun at all. In the summer months that would be ok but in January the mornings and evenings are quite chilly so the apartment stayed cold and we needed blankets on top of the quilt on the bed at night. We found the mattress very firm after our first night so asked reception for a mattress topper which was sorted and made the bed more comfortable. "I had never heard of this brand/group before but decided to stay with them as they had so many properties on Gran Canaria. The hotel was fantastic, like staying in a small town rather than just one building. The staff were some of the best I’ve come across and the breakfast buffet was top notch. I’ll definitely stay with this group again in the future. The area is 10 mins taxi from playa del ingles and there is a bus stop nearby that connects you to the airport."

"Had a perfect week's stay. All the staff were so friendly, helpful, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Breakfast was fantastic - we loved the pancakes, fresh fruit, and eggs. "I wouldn’t actually return to Puerto Rico due to the hills but the Servatur Montebello itself was just what I was looking for. The guys in reception were so friendly & helpful, the apartment was clean and the pool was beautiful. "We booked a partial ocean view room and received exactly that. The place was clean, with only a few minor issues, such as a leaking shower cabin and plastic covering on the mattress, which made the nights overheate. Overall, it was excellent value for money. The location was close to the beach and transport links. It was quiet, and the staff were friendly."
