"I would like to share my personal experience during my stay last week. We requested to give us a room which is little away from highway noise but instead was given the one which is closest :) Room had a weird smell every time you enter, not sure if it was wood or something else. Pillows were old and were definitely not comfortable, I had tried several but none of them was good enough. Bathroom fixtures were very old. Most troubling part was the nonstop cracking sound from AC Fan, like buzzing electricity. I reported that after check in and they sent some one who couldnt communicate in English. So he came and after few mins, shown some phone signs to us and then left.We never heard back if its going to fixed or room change can happen. We were also told by front desk, that this is general pattern in all rooms(which means all rooms have same problem). Don't know if it's due to very old AC's or issues with few rooms only as we never got a chance to check other rooms. Next day I went to universal early morning and came back in evening and called front desk again, i was then told that you were offered another room and you didnt wanna move, which was a surprise to me as no one reached out to me offering other room. Also, I was told that if I have any issues I should speak to General Manager next day. Now, there was no point to talking any one at the day of checkout, it wouldn't have helped in anything. I hardly slept both nights and decided that I wont ever stay here again."

"The room provided the basics. The bed quality was below average. The price was hefty $200 because of its location to Unuversal Studios, and not the room quality. "

"Obviously, a great price. One of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. This little motel has been completely redone and maintained. I wish there was a little coffee maker and a microwave, The pillows could really use some updating and replacing.. I usually don’t stay in low-cost motels like this so my expectations might be above where they should be. But overall, I was impressed."

"Breakfast was standard prepackaged fare, but the time were clean and staff was to friendly. Site has a rich Hollywood history, which made it an interesting stay. Some amenities, such as a smart TV or more comfortable mattresses, could use upgrades, but the price was fair for that too."

"The hotel looks ok from the outside then you go in. The staff was not helpful. Our door would not open. We would have to put to room key in and out at least 10 times every time we wanted to go in before it would work and when we asked for assistance the staff just said that the issue was not the key it was the door. No fix no solution just the door. The hotel SMELLS inside. As you walk down the hallway the bad smells change from one to the next. The room itself was fine. The best compliment I can give it is the beds were clean. The hotel allows pets so there were dogs barking and howling most nights. For the price this hotel was not worth and I will not be returning. "

"Really big rooms and nice bathroom! Great location if you have a car as it is not walkable. Perfect for visiting Universal Studios. The shuttle was awesome! Staff really really nice and caring! Would highly recommend! "
