"Overall good. Room was not so clean and linens seemed very worn out. Staff was friendly and helpful. It took 3 times to finally have our room available when we checked in."

Rooms are smaller than most hotels but workable with family. Beds were comfortable and the location was the best as we were close to many venues and events in Santa Clara. Staff was always helpful. There was an incident Sunday, June &, early in the morning. Upon checking out I asked the desk...

"I visited this hotel several times before. But right now, I don' t fell like it. I won't be there anymore. Something greatly changed. The room generally is clean. But comforter doesn't feel comfortable. No coffee nor cups in the room. The breakfast is not good. Before you use the WIFI, you have to input all your information. Not sure why."

"Notified the Manager that the cable TV was not working. They never fixed the Cable TV for 2 days. Therefore, no TV for 2 days. Alarm Clock was not working. Notified the Hotel Manager and they couldn't fix the Alarm Clock. Elevator breaks down on occasion. Breakfast is terrible. Grand Hotel needs new Management who is willing to listen to the hotel guest."

"The location is good, close to downtown. The staff were very agreeable. The rooms are very basic. No amenities to speak of. The smell of cleaners and deodorizer is very strong. Towels and pillows were minimal but staff provided more on request. No coffee. The refrigerator is useful. The price seems very high for something so basic."
