"We were there for one night. When arrived we got upgraded to a king bed . When I spoke with staff and told them Expedia had indicated no Kong beds they indicated they had 6 beds. Milton upgraded us to the bottom floor with king bed and patio view. The room was good and spacious. They do have dinner options that you can pay for. We had a good stay and would come back again if we ever come to Oakland."

"Breakfast was very good, a variety of food to choose from. Fresh and tasty. Staff helpful and friendly, serving and dinning area were clean. Room was clean as well but the only thing I didn't like was the size of the kitchenette cabinets above the sink. To big and to low , acces to the sink was limited."

"Lots of places to walk to get great food, before 9 PM. Afterwards, it’s pretty much a food desert. It’s great being two blocks away from Bart when you’re traveling from the airport. Very comfortable beds! Great size bathroom!"

"The good: Great welcome by front desk. Good food available. Nicely decorated property. Not so good: Long queue and wait for valet parking. Hair found on makeup face towels (gross), and room not very clean. Limited options for in room coffee (not enough for two people)."

"The building looked clean overall, and the room was small but comfortable. The fridge doesn’t have a freezer. Parking wasn’t too hard to find when we stayed there and it was free."

"First... The location is Excellent! Close to The Bart station & Jack London Square with Eateries, Entertainment & The Ferry~ The Staff was Friendly & Helpful. Check-in Fast & Easy Next... This hotel is Efficient w/No Frills. Elevator is tight, hallways narrow (as if in its former life, it was a tenement SRO). The carpet has seen better days. Room was small & gave cause for pause... and made me rethink my choice 🤐 The view: a cement wall and pipes! The bathroom was spacious, well lit, well...

"It mentioned that it was a 15 minute walk to Jack London Square. It’s more like 2 hours as you cannot cross over the water."

"This hotel is pretty rundown. It’s very old, and there is a consistent smell of cigarette smoke throughout the facility. My clothes and suitcase still smell like cigarettes when I got back home. The one positive I can say is that we did not see any bugs or pests. Hopefully, they will be able to refurbish this property soon. The parking was fine, however, there is a pigeon problem, and my car was defiled by pigeons perching on the pipes above parking space!"

"I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this hotel truly deserves one. The location was excellent, the property was clean and well maintained, and the overall experience was great. What really stood out was the front desk staff—especially the young gentleman who checked us in. I forgot to ask his name, but he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
