"The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were upgraded free of charge, which was a lovely surprise. Very clean and modern hotel. Location is the best! Superb! A few steps to the left of the hotel was the famous elevator, a few steps to the right of the hotel, was Rossio square with lots of little huts with music, drinks, food and crafts to purchase, and the location was close and within walking distance to the hop on hop off buses. Both red grey line and yellow buses!"

"Walked into an emaculate hotel lobby & clean room. Amenities were all there in our room with a lovely gesture from the staff, a plate of 2 pastries with strawberries & a bottle of Portugal's liqueur. Staff was extremely helpful. Nice! Enjoyed our stay."

"The front desk staff are the best. They are the most kind and helpful I have ever experienced in any hotel. When I first arrived, it was 7 am, and I was shattered from 4 weeks travelling in West Africa and an overnight flight from Senegal. The staff allowed me to sit in the Reading Room, where I proceeded to snore my head off until 10 am, when I was awakened and told my room was ready, and my bags were already in the room!! What hospitality!! I stayed 4 nights and wanted to stay longer, but unfortunately they were fully booked. No wonder. This is the best little gem in Lisbon. The location couldn't be better. My thanks go to everyone, including the excellent Housekeeping staff."

"Great location and a good breakfast. Room comfortable but subpar. Not for anyone not in good physical shape. You will need to carry luggage up and down a minimum of 2 flights of stairs. Some staff friendly while others rude. We had a 6:30 am pickup to the airport and asked about availability of coffee since breakfast is not served until 7:30 am. We were pointed to a coin operated questionable source. Not sure why breakfast area with automated machine is not available earlier in the morning. Consider this a heads up - reviews that lead to our booking gave us a misrepresentation of the facility."
