"This hotel is not 5 star, it’s more like1 star. It’s very worn, poor quality furnishings and overall is extremely tired. I recently booked and when I arrived and saw the room refused to stay. The hotel wouldn’t refund or even make a gesture so do not book non refundable. I was allocated room 8 and it was like the worst B&B from the 80’s. "Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend."

"The staff were great, really friendly, happy to help, chatty and gave us a nice evening. Really pretty setting, we could watch the water from our room, the room itself was really nicely decorated, we had cute dog themed touches, nice and clean, we couldn’t say anything bad about it. "

"Clean room, but the desk lamp did not work properly as the bulb constantly flickered. Also, the wall light near the window did not work at all. We felt that these things should be checked by the cleaning staff on a daily basis as it wouldn’t take long to switch on a lamp and wall lights while dusting them. We reported the broken lights to the receptionist when we checked out the next day."

Felt v relaxed in the living room but the bedroom with en-suite and a dressing area made it feel large and comfortable.. Large kitchen with table for 2. Far better and so much more than a hotel room. "The fire alarm went off at 10.45pm awaking me from my sleep, I woke up with fear and panic, guests had to go to the lobby downstairs and then after about 10 minutes the staff said it’s fine go back to your rooms, this is very poor and I was very unhappy with my stay, I was shaking for at least 20 minutes from the shock and frightened from the scare. "

"Hotel was lovely modern but with an old school twist. Pianist in the bar, silverware on the breakfast tables and impeccable service by the wonderful staff. Enjoyed our stay, lovely waterfront position. Great food in the river Grille and fabulous cocktails on Ricks. "

Staff were really friendly and helpful too I recommend staying at this resort if staying in Bristol for a short spell and have activities going on in and around the area. Location is perfect for accessing the shopping centre and local sites. "
