"On the positive side, the location is gorgeous, the staff very polite and friendly, the rooms and balconies good size, there is ample free parking, and the Cuppa Cafe "grab and go" was quite good. On the not-so-positive side, the furnishings are "tired" and could really use an update, the bathroom had no shower gel and the hand soap was not the best to use for bathing, the shower had no place to put your own items, the bath towels were dingy and rather worn, our passports in the room safe...

"It was farther from the airport and port than we expected. However, the staff and facilities made up for the distance. Checkin was quick and easy. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast and dinners were superb. They had delightful dinners around the pool and also at a lower location. The shuttle service was wonderful and the driver was very helpful. We got lost and the driver came and found us. Having several monkeys grazing the trees for flowers outside of our front porch was so cool...

"Our stay in the Hawksbill Penthouse was an absolute dream vacation. The suite was incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed, and the photos simply could not capture the breathtaking beauty of the outdoor dining area overlooking the ocean. "On arrival we were upgraded to a seaview suite when I had booked a garden view room so that was a nice touch. Hotel is right on the beach and the staff from the manager to the cleaners were the happiest most friendly people I have dealt with. The hotel is conveniently situated for exploring the island, there is a bus stop right outside and you can travel anywhere for 2 Barbados dollars, 60p in English money. The local people themselves are extremely friendly and the island has a very low crime...
