"Loved this hotel and the staff were the most pleasant and helpful staff I’ve come across. The buffet breakfast (not included) was delicious! Resort is beautiful! Pool and hot tub are indoors which is so nice in Tahoe where it’s cold more than it’s hot. Room was great. Live music in lobby in the evenings (nothing loud and obnioux). Will definitely stay here again (and possibly only here)."

"I pre-paid for a night's stay. The unit was clean, everything was serviceable, the desk agent was polite. It appears to have been updated with new tile, shower doors, sink, furniture, lamps, carpet. The bed was comfortable and clean. The driveway could use a new layer of asphalt."

"The hot tub wasn't hot enough. Be aware that this is a pet friendly hotel. We walked into our room and it smelled terrible and it gave me a instant headache! I called the office and they said nobody has ever complained about the smell. It had a strong cleaning odor they use to cover up the pet smells. I was hoping to change to another room. But the guy said open the windows and doors and the next day it wasn't like the first day!! The room next to us had a dog who was left alone in the room and...

"We continue to come back to the Timber Lodge because the facility and location are outstanding as well as all the staff that works here. Not much to complain about because it is clean, comfortable and well equipped both inside and outside the room. Couldn't ask for a more enjoyable experience in South Shore. Oh, and the restaurants are great also and easy walking distance. "

"Great value stay that exceeded expectations for the price. Room was clean and comfortable, and the late-night self check-in was quick and easy, available Parking and good Location overall. Staff I spoke with over the phone were friendly and helpful. Only downside was internet or TV were down. Not the reason I came to Tahoe, but in 2026 those feel like basic amenities. Overall, a solid stay and I’d come back."

"Hands down the best place I’ve stayed in Tahoe for the price. The lodge has such a cozy, welcoming vibe the second you walk in. Staff was super helpful and informative, and the little perks like a complimentary drink and s’mores kit were such a fun touch. The room was spotless, cozy, and had great ambiance lighting.
