"The hotel was quintessential NOLA..small intimate full of character being an older space. The hotel being aged does not mean it has to smell awful. Since they have no air conditioning it was very damp and hot and smelled like mold and mildew. The rooms also only had a small window unit which did not really cool the room in the summer heat. The attached bar was also hot and smelled bad. Staff was very kind is the only good thing I can say about this hotel."

"This was mine and my husband's first time in New Orleans to celebrate my birthday. The staff, the service and the room were exceptional. I honestly have to say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The room was spotless and beautiful. I highly recommend staying here if you haven't already. "The staff was lovely. The location was fantastic. The parking worked well. The biggest problem was that the pool is open until 10 PM and the shrieks of children playing was ALARMING and put us on edge. We were on the bottom floor, slightly way from the pool, but there is no escaping it. I'm not the kind of person that doesn't like kids -- but high pitched SCREAMS were relentless.
