"Very nice property, close to restaurants and bars. Close to the ocean. The ocean view they advertise is pretty limited. Our room smelled pretty mildewy and got pretty noisy in the courtyard most nights to the point that it woke us up several nights. Our TV and cable box was disconnected for some reason. I had to plug it back in to get the TV to work. Nice staff, but not the most friendly. Weren't rude, but definitely didn't seem very interested in talking to us or checking that our stay was...

"Prefect spot for a one night trip to SD with the family. The staff at the front was quick and nice. The rooms were shockingly big. We had a small patio with a partial view. We were going to legoland and the hotel was super close by. I loved it was right next to downtown Carlsbad. We will definitely be back."

"Clean & comfortable room, friendly staff, easy parking. It seems Motel-6 no longer provides much in the way of amenities so I always have to be sure to bring my own (including a coffee maker)."

"If you are not on the 3rd floor, the noise from people above you is terrible. They are loud and disturbing. Breakfast time is chaotic for guests and staff alike, making it difficult to keep food stocked. Too bad the staff isn't able to make the waffles for the guests. Guests are coughing and touching their hair while touching the food. The staff is extremely courteous and is doing their best to accommodate guests. "
