"We arrived around 11:00 am, even though it was too early for check in. The owner allowed us to go ahead and park (for free) and he took our luggage up. We made the walk to town in 10 minutes. When we returned that evening, our luggage was in our room and the snacks and wine we brought were in the fridge. The room was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was extremely clean. Plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. Noise from the street was minimal. We will definitely stay again!!"

"Excellent family run hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked individually when ordered and not pre cooked left to dry out on the side. Only five minutes from the Minster so easy to come and go. Would thoroughly recommend."

"Very welcome and friendly check-in, helpful and polite staff. Queens Rooms spacious and clean, walk in shower lovely. Requested for rooms to be close and were next to each other. Breakfast lovely, sausage, bacon, eggs, tomatos, beans, hash browns plus continental, fruits, yoghurt and juice. Parked in Q-park shambles just a 5 min walk to hotel which is located very close to the centre. "

"Great location, lobby was very nice and had lots of sesting. The bar has great deals for students and we saved a lot of money eating and drinking here, plus it was yummy. Room was big and clean and the TV worked well. Gym was small but it was perfect for me to do a quick workout. Breakfast was good as well and had tons of options!"

"This property was lovely. Located within a short walk from the train station as well as from the city centre. The staff were incredible, and very friendly. The man working the front desk (I did not catch his name, but he was there the morning of April 1st) was lovely to chat with and very helpful! The room was small but had everything we needed, was very clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The only thing I would not recommend is the continental breakfast. You don’t get much for £10.95,...

"Hotel design is modern, clean and central to York´s attractions. I stayed for 4 nights, the standard rooms are well equipped, great design, and comfortable. It would´ve been nice to have an alternative to coconut biscuits, a variety of teas and a hot chocolate provided. The housekeeping was different standard everyday, one day the bed wasn’t made or the tea cups cleaned, other days it was very good. I ordered a different cooked breakfast every morning, and honestly wouldn’t want any of them...
