The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us, showing great flexibility throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptional, truly beyond words. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many places and this is one of the best places we have stayed."

It was a very hot couple of days when we were there; the air conditioning in our room was excellent. The hotel is very well presented and well maintained. "The hotel smelled of humidity. The TV in the room didn't work. I went to change the remote control 4 times. Finally, I asked them to test it in the room to see if it worked. They put the remote control down and left. I went upstairs and the TV still didn't work. Since I can't sleep without a TV, it was important to me. The hotel is definitely not worth the price they are asking. And they are especially asking for extra parking from the customers who have already stayed"

"The room had everything we needed, and we managed to get extra coffee when we required it. The staff were very helpful and made our visit run smoothly. For our stay, the air conditioning in the room was a bonus, as it was during a very hot spell. We didn't watch the TV, but it looked to have everything you might need on there. "For a budget hotel (although I did stay in a Premium room) the room was really quiet and the bed was large. I slept really well. Lovely shower, fun design details - painting, large lamp, coffee machine. The room felt spacious. I’d stay again."

"We celebrated our Golden Wedding here so we could be near our close family in Bristol. At check-in we were given a Privilege Room which was very well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast every day was excellent - served as a buffet but fresh ingredients regularly supplied. We had a dinner for two and a family lunch both of which were excellent with freshly cooked ingredients and the ability to deal with special diets. The building itself is extremely spacious and capable of hosting large events....

"Jonny, the host was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Cannot be faulted. Room and en suite basic, but bed clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage drawers, small table and chairs a nice touch. Shower room small but clean, with good shower pressure. Although above a pub, the rooms are unexpectedly quiet. Budget-friendly - if you want all the “bells & whistles”, then you’d have to pay much more for a room. Well worth the money."
