"Great hotel, they concentrate on what’s important, the room. It’s large, comfortable and clean. Only minor issue is the TV is old and has only the basic channels but hey if you are watching TV for any long period then you should probably stay at home rather than visit gorgeous Stratford."

"The room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained and there was a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was let down by the breakfast. The bacon was excellent, my sausage was pink in the middle so I only ate half, the mushrooms were tinned or something similar, the tomato wasn’t cooked and the potato things were frozen. "The room was not as we saw on the website, we didn’t have a garden view but a large wall, which made the room really dark, the carpet was stained, the breakfast was ok until my husband saw the chef put cereals spilt on the table back in the pots with the ones to be eaten , there was a big sign outside saying come and look at our refurbished rooms, we certainly didn’t get one "

Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. "It was very exciting staying in a castle. We had the family room which was very quaintly laid out with a single bed in its own part of the small turret, through a stone arch. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was served in a box in our room with loads of choice, and fresh produce in a mini fridge which was lovely. The area is stunning. "We didn't need parking as we walked to and from the airport, and we didn't have breakfast. The dining room was good as we didn't want to stay in the room any longer than we need to as it is tiny. It served it's purpose as we needed somewhere to stay for the night. The first room they assigned us was not possible for me to stay in as there was a terrible bathroom odor lingering."

For breakfast, we were offered vegetarian sausages seperately as the buffet did not have any vegetarian sausages. That was very thoughtful of the staff. The room had everything we required, a hairdryer, a fridge (requested earlier), a fan & were able to adjust the heating in the room. The spa facilities were nice & clean."
