Sam was an amazing host - when there was an issue with the booking and I encountered issues trying to resolve it with the booking platform - she was helpful and reassuring. My stay was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - loved the granary bread and I forgot to ask Sam about the coffee - exceptional blend, I want to buy some....

"I stayed for Dave Day, June 26. The hotel could not have been more busy! But the staff had permanent smiles with a very helpful attitude. Inspite of probably being asked the same questions 100 times. Wish there was an extra star for them. A credit to the management."

"From easy parking, ease of checkin, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed. Hot drink making facilities and a nice addition of water in the mini fridge, access to a dining area downstairs with microwave, hot drink facilities and a toaster was all you needed. The price reflects the absence of breakfast supplied and to be honest, we preferred this option. Great value for money. We will be back! "

"Considering the price, the apartment was ok. There is an air fryer, kettle and toaster. Washing up is a challenge in the small sink in the bathroom. Filling the kettle is difficult as it doesn't fit under the tap in the bathroom! The bed was ok, but you can feel the springs. The TV didn't work as the aerial lead was damaged. The hair drier was dangerous as it was full of dust and smelt of burning. The views over the bay were spectacular. Ok for a couple of nights, no longer though."

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel so much I intend to return. The hotel, the gardens and its location on edge of Lake Windermere are wonderful. Fortunately for us the heat wave that affected the country at the end of May meant that we didn’t use the car but instead relaxed in the beautiful gardens, went on short walks or just watched the steamers come and go from the nearby landing. "We were allocated a large room on the 3rd floor. There is no lift. We requested a lower floor the room was mor like a bedsit .clean and quiet. .The front of the building is covered in scaffding. If we were in the rooms with hottubs etc different experience.Staff minimal buit helpful.restuarant has always been good."
